Counter Arguement
Some will try to argue that if the drinking age is lowered by three years, then more drunken driving accidents will occur. However, this is false because there would actually be less. When parents are given the right to responsibly provide their children with the basics of alcohol use and how much is appropriate less havoc will result. Also, if America is so worried about fatal accidents; an eighteen year old individual should not technically have the right to go to war where then are given the ability to kill with a gun. Inferring that more accidents will be a result of lowering the drinking age limit by three years is a ridiculous concept that should be revised.
Underage Drinking at Parties
Underage drinking still exist, everywhere. Teens, under the age of twenty-one, continue to drink heavily at parties ubiquitously; there is no use in having the drinking age limit set so high. It is also not unreasonable to infer that older friends could simply purchase alcohols for minors, then conceal it, so no one gets into legal trouble.
